Blood splattered all over the place, the catatonic screaming echoed from a distance. The woman ran as fast as she could, dropping all of her groceries in which she needed to feed her six children that night. She stopped to go back for her groceries, then all of a sudden she felt a presence behind her. A big shaddow was among her, she turned around slowly, and very frightened almost half to death.
"Michael!" Brenda grabbed onto Michael's arm, her heart racing. Michael didn't say anything, his eyes were too attached to the huge movie screen in the drive in theatre. He took a handfull of popcorn, shoving it into his mouth, trying his very best not to blink so he wouldn't miss anything.
"Michael I'm scared," Brenda covered her eyes with the palm of her hands, Michael sighed and pulled her hands down.
"Brenda it's only a movie," He laughed a little, "Besides, you like scary movies, I told you that this one wasn't like the others, but you said it was okay!"
Brenda pouted and made her baby face, Michael sighed again, "Okay... Let's go get something to drink then," Michael got out of the car. As they headed over to get their drink they ran into Lisa. She was holding hands with Spike, Brenda rolled her eyes and didn't say anything. Michael felt awkward.
"Oh hey Brenda! Oh Michael! Pleasure to see you again, it's not everyday that you see a big star like yourself," Lisa laughed. Michael smiled and nodded his head. Brenda nudged him.
"So how are you Brenda, are you two dating?" Lisa asked. Brenda folded her arms, she knew Lisa was just trying to show her and Spike off. Brenda looked at Michael.
"Oh no we're just really great friends," Michael smiled. Brenda took a deep breath, she was hoping he'd lie for her just to make her sound good. As if she was doing well since Lisa and Spike's little get together.
"Oh, like, cool, well we're gonna go now bye!" Lisa smiled. Brenda didn't say anything, she threw her hands down and walked back to the car as fast as her legs would let her go. Michael was confused, again. He followed her to the car, Brenda slammed the door shut.
"Brenda what's all this about are you o-"
"Michael you were supposed to cover for me! And you were not supposed to mingle with Lisa!" Brenda shouted. Michael rolled up the windows, he didn't want everyone around them in on their argument that he saw comming within seconds.
"Cover for you? And I didn't mingle with Lisa, I barely said anything at all..." Michael said, trying to keep calm. His heart was beating feircly, he didn't want to argue. Brenda's face was turning red, he knew this was bad.
"Yes! Cover for me! You were supposed to say we were dating so that she'd feel stupid for even asking and so she could see that I didn't need Spike and she's not making me jealous not one single damn bit! But NO! You said we were just really great friends, that makes me look like I need someone! And you mingled with her by smiling, you're supposed to be my bestfriend! You should've ... Mugged her!" Brenda said everything quickly but Michael took it all in.
"Well I'm sorry how was I supposed to know?" Michael asked.
"You should just know!!!" Brenda shouted.
"Stop yelling at me.. Calm down," Michael put his hand out to her shoulder, she knocked it out of the way.
"Take me home, now." Brenda demanded.
Michael's jaw dropped a little, "Brenda you're taking all of this way too far, I'm sorry I didn't mean to... Upset you, I didn't know,"
Brenda remained silent, she looked out of the window, Lisa and Spike were walking toward Michael's car. Brenda panicked, she looked at Michael and kissed him, Lisa knocked on the window. Brenda turned around, Michael didn't know what was going on, he licked his lips, he felt like there was lipstick on them.
"Oh... I'm sorry to interupt," Lisa put her hand to her chest, she looked suprised.
"Oh.. Um... It's okay," Brenda was breathing hard, she didn't notise what she had just done.
"Nevermind..." Lisa turned around and walked back to the car with Spike, she was in shock. Michael didn't say anything, he looked out of the window then put his seatbelt on.
"Want me to still take you home...?" Michael asked nervously, his voice was getting lower and lower, he was so nervous he could barely speak.
"Um... No... We're fine..." Brenda didn't say anything more. They watched the movie in silence until Brenda finally broke it.
"Michael, I didn't mean to ... Kiss you... I just wanted Lisa to be... Jealous, I guess? And I' sorry for blaming everything on you," She said.
Michael looked at her, even though he'd been looking at her the whole time through the corner of his eye, "It's okay, and I kinda figured," Michael smiled a little, just to break the awkwardness. There was a silence again.
"Michael?" Brenda asked.
"Hmm?" Michael looked at her.
"Do you... Do you think I'm pretty? At all? Tell me the truth," Brenda asked.
"I think you're very beautiful, and attractive, I've always thought so," Michael said, he looked in every direction except her face, he felt weird. Brenda smiled, "Oh, thank you.. Sometimes I feel like you don't even notise my appearance, it's not a bad thing.. I just think so because we're friends so... I don't know," Brenda laughed a little.
"I always notise your appearance. I like when you wear your hair down, and I notise you like to wear strawberry lipbalm each day, and on big occasions red lipstick.." Michael laughed, "And I notise you wear brown eye makeup instead of black, and peach blush instead of your average rose red..." He smiled and looked at his lap, "And I notise you always wear this cute red clip in your hair when you read, to keep your hair out of your face.. I notise you like to draw a mole on the side of your cheek aswell, I don't see why, you're built of pure beauty anyways.."
Brenda smiled and giggled as he said everything, she thought it was sweet how he seemed to notise all the small details. She kissed his cheek, he smiled and looked at her. He felt like it was the perfect time to tell her how he felt. Before he knew it he was locked in a kiss, he'd made the first move. Brenda scooted closer to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Michael put his hands around her waiste gently.
Brenda rubbed her smooth hands gently against Michael's neck as they made out, about a thousand and one thoughts crossed her mind. He was her first kiss, and the first guy she made out with. She pulled away from him slowly, his hands slid down her waiste without notising. She grabbed his hands.
"Michael... Who was the first girl you ever kissed?" Brenda asked, her voice was trembling, she wished that she could be Michael's first everything as he was to her. She knew she wasn't.
Michael let go of her but didn't move away, he felt bad at her asking, "Diana... Ross.."
Brenda took a deep breath, her eyes were watery and red, "...And who was the first girl you'd ever made out with?"
Michael didn't want her to cry, he didn't want to hurt her without meaning to. He couldn't control what was already done, "Tate..."
Brenda turned around and stared blankly out of the window. Michael didn't say anything for a moment, he felt like he'd hurt her or let her down. He didn't ever want her to cry or to be hurt in any way, and she was crying, and she was hurt. Michael looked out of the window aswell, he didn't know what to say.
"If I could I'd take it all back for you," Michael said quietly. Brenda looked at him, he didn't look back. He knew if he saw her tears that he'd shed one too.
